Well...

Well, it has been awhile since I have written on my blog. I have finished school. Hooray!! No more studying!! I have been super busy with activities, even though I have not been able to work for the past two weeks due to getting rear ended and the injury it caused to my neck and back. But here are some pictures of some of the things that I have done over the past few weeks. Wow, we had a crazy snow storm. I loved it to a point but I got stuck twice; my car is not the best in the snow.

Boo Making Decisions...

So, have a decision to make, which I hate making. Hmmm...do I go back to school in January to finish my degree or do I go to Australia and help out with the Soccer DTS. My normal natured self would lean towards going to Australia because it seems like I go against the expected usually and I would love the chance that I would be given there. But, there is practicality to consider and I have been waiting over a year to try and get in. So I am going to be praying and seeking God's will for my life. I would love your prayers too.

No Matter What

So, just to let you know that Jeremy Camp has amazing lyrics. Here is one song from his new album "Beyond Measure."

I know that everytime I find the one thing that holds me back inside
I want to tear apart and bring my selfish pleasures at your feet.
Every part of me is an offering,
I will set forth and lay it down at Your throne.
Because I live for You alone.

No matter what it takes I will offer.
Everything I am I give to you.
Even unto death I will follow,
No matter what the price I will give to you now.

I won't throw this time I have aside,
You're the very prize I have in sight.
You've placed this purpose down in me,
And it burns so deep.
Let this life I lead bring You all the glory,
I'm intrusted with a gift that I can't hide.
Revive my heart, revive my mind.
To live is to really die.
I will keep this steady pace until the final day.

So, it is my prayer that my life would be an offering to my loving Saviour. As I seek God's will for my life, I know that He has placed the passions within my heart for a purpose that will continually be fulfilled through the pathway of my life, wherever it leads.
Brightly coloured sunsets and starry heavens, majestic mountains and shining seas, and fragrant fields and fresh-cut flowers are not even half as beautiful as a soul who is serving Jesus out of love, through the wear and tear of an ordinary, unpoetic life.

The Life of Suzanne Jarvie...

So, for some reason, I feel like I am not supposed to have a "normal" life per say - you know a job, my own place, etc, etc. Well, why do you ask. I definitly get bored after a while with the mundane routines. I thrive for change. For example, I could be working full-time right now, but I have chosen not to, and go to school part-time instead, just cause. I don't know how many people would do that. Who, knows, maybe I am not so different. But I love my classes and have been learning a lot and growing through it. I am ready for the next adventure in life.

The latest lesson in life...
Well, my life has been filled with frustration related to playing soccer lately. I will not bore you with the details, especially for those who do not play soccer. However, in the last month I have made a more conscious effort to pray and ask God to help me represent him on the field and that the reason I would be playing would be for him. Since then, I feel like I have been frustrated like never before. The point is, while some of my frustration was legitimate, it got to the point of interferring with my life, mostly after the game. There was a battle going on in my mind. At first I didn't realize that it was Satan trying to mess with my mind, but alas, the truth prevailed. I realized my focus had changed a bit and I was focusing on the negative. So, even if I feel like my team is spiraling from first into the bottom of the league, I know that perseverence is good for the body. A good lesson learned I suppose. Now we'll see how it all goes next Sunday when I play.

Next...Australia?
Well, next up in line is Australia. Well, what do I mean by that. Well, got a crazy email from a friend that used to be on my soccer team. She is over in Australia helping out with a DTS (Discipleship Training School with YWAM for those of you that do not know). She is going to be starting a Soccer DTS next fallish and has asked me to help her out and be a leader for it. Soooooooo crazy. Wow, it fills me with excitement and joy at the prospect because that is something that I would love to do and going to Australia would not be hard. But anyway, I am prayfully considering this as a real option in my life. There are many implications of this and many fears that I have associtated with this. So, only God knows what his will for my life is. It is an exciting journey that is for sure. Anything is possible.

January...
I hope to go back and finish my final practicum so I finish my Bachelors of Science degree. I have been trying to get in for quite awhile now, so I am eagerly hoping that all will work out. If not, I am going to try and transfer my credits to another school, which is a big hassle. However, I know that everything will work out, in his time and place. It is the patience part that is hard sometimes.

So yah, that is what is up in my life in a snidbit the last couple of days. Enjoy!

Ahh...Fall...you gotta love it...

Well, so crazy to think that tommorrow will be November. It seems rather redundent to say that time goes by so quickly, but it does! I cannot believe that school is halfway done. I just had my last midterm today and it is cause for celebration. Yipee!! Pretty soon it will be Christmas, then the new year. Oh my, how I feel like I am getting old somedays. You know, I am turning 26 in January.

I absolutely love this time of year. Fall, with all its leaves, the cool crisp air... you just cannot help but love it. Ahh, creation... I took these pictures after a frustrating day that required me to go above and beyond and persevere through a situation while being positive and encouraging. Afterwards I took a lovely walk at Fish Trap Creek. Not only did I get to enjoy creation but I met with God.

My dear lil red car got stolen 2 weeks ago from my house, so that was interesting. They just found it this weekend in Surrey. Yes, I know, it is such a surprise. So, I have been driving my courtesy car. I kinda was looking forward to a new car but in the end it is much better not having to look for or buy a new car and everything just works out to the "t", like it should, in God's way.

I would like to say that my life is all interesting. But it is filled with the mundane things that make life life. I continue forward with the little joys, the sweet surprises, the casual annoyances and all that makes life what it is. New things continually cross my way and I continue to be amazed at how God works in my life and those around me. He is so good!!

There is a time and a season for everything under the sun.

It seems that I never fail to try and take control of my own life but God is so patient and brings me back to Him and reminds me that I am trying to do it with my own strength.

God has been teaching me patience to quietly wait upon Him and His timing, for there is a time for everything under the sun. I often try to get ahead of myself. God faithfully reminded me of Abraham and Sarah and their time of waiting for the long awaited fullfillment of the promise and the birth of Isaac. The incredible faith of Abraham. He waited 99 years until the promise of the birth of a child was fullfilled. Wow, it amazes me and brings things into perspective.

God is good, and will continue to work in and through me, in His timing. It gives me such confidence knowing that God is in control of my life b/c his perspective outweighs my human perspective. Rather his is an above the sun perspective. God is so patient with me and He is so good, all the time!!

School has arrived...

So, had my first day of classes today - so crazy. It's been awhile since I have gone to school. Excited but expecting the novelty to wear off. I thought it would take weeks...no...just one day. Ah, the reading to come. I am taking NT Survey and OT Survey at once. I don't recommend this. I am going to be reading a lot. But it will be a growing experience and I know I will learn tons. I just may be spending a lot of time in my house, reading.

I am also excited that soccer has started again. I am coaching a U9 girls team and it is going good so far. And of course I get to play soccer again too. Good times. I need the exercise.

Inxtreme starts up soon in 1 week. Good times! I am excited for what God has in store for this group and how God is going to challenge us in our walks through the speakers. I am excited to get to know new people and those on the ministry team. Jeff, the new young adults pastor will be arriving in November and I look forward to getting to know him. He is the person that God has called to our church and his passion and gifting fit in so well.

Well, to organize and read I go. The fun never stops. The start of Fall and the start of new things and new schedules.

Calgary Trip

Ok, so I made my second trip out to Calgary in the past month. My friend Alissa and I went on a roadtrip. Good times all around. I got to experience the amazing beauty that God has made. I have been wanting to go hiking for a long time but I am usually so busy in the summer working. I was all talk but I finally got to go hiking. Alissa and I hiked up Mount Yamnuska. It is an absolutly beautiful view but I forgot that my body is not quite in shape to do that, however, we made it up and it was so worth it.

Ahhh, don't you just love summer time and getting outside. Here is a picture of Herbert Lake. It is on the way to Jasper.

Then there is Lake Louise. I had never been there before. So good...It truly is indescribable. Isn't creation amazing, beyond belief. Good times all around. Enjoy the outdoors this summer. I know I am so far.

Beginning...

Okay, so I have decided to be part of the blogger craze to update people that don't live nearby and just for the fun of it. We'll see how updated I keep it. Here goes it... This is a picture of me in Calgary during the Stampede. Good times all around. I am trying to be a cowgirl.
